Reaching Out Into Our Community
Although we are called to live a servant lifestyle, occasionally Hillside comes together as a church to reach out to our community in a really big way. We join together to do different projects for all ages from 4 to 104. Save this date, for an experience that may never forget!
MY HILLSIDE Serves!
This year MY HILLSIDE Serves will be in the Spring. We have had several requests to move this event to Spring and after much prayer decided it would be a positive move.
SAVE THE DATE
MARCH 10, 2018
We have changed the name from Great Day of Service to MY HILLSIDE Serves! to reflect the fact that serving is an ongoing response to our love for Christ and our calling to love and help those in need.
...use your freedom to serve one another in love. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13-14
Schedule your day from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm (if using Hillside Nursery, plan to leave your location early to pick up your child at 1:00 pm). There will be seven locations with multiple small and large projects. This will allow larger teams and multiple small groups to be in service together; growing community and relationships. Teams will be served at the work site this year instead of returning to Hillside.
Registration will open in September!
Want To Serve Now?
If you don't want to wait until October to begin serving, join the Helping Hands ministry. Asl projects come to us throughout the year, this ministry serves throughout the year to handle these tasks both in the community and at our church campus. Helping Hands is always looking for more servants to bless our community. Connect with Helping Hands
Each year we collect non-perishable food for a a local food pantry. There is always a need for food donations. This year we will bless Forever Fed in collecting soup cans. Please make the soup 'child friendly'; this means soups that children would enjoy (chicken noodle, vegetable soup, chicken and rice, etc). For more information about Forever Fed go to www.foreverfed.org.
