PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
Registration takes place for all students in January/February. The Registration Fee is equivalent to one month’s tuition.
Preschool classes are filled as openings are available in the following order of preference: Currently enrolled students and their siblings, HUMC members not currently enrolled, and general public. All children not enrolled will be placed on a waiting list to fill vacancies as they occur.
Children must be of age for the class they are entering by September 1. Children entering the 3-year-old program or higher must be fully potty-trained. Children applying for the Transitional 4/5’s program must have attended at least one year of preschool and be recommended to the class by the child’s current teacher. Children applying should be 5 years of age by December. Kindergarten classes will be filled using a separate application process. Placement of all children in Hillside Preschool & Kindergarten is left to the discretion of the Director and Administrative Staff.
School class hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Hillside Preschool and Kindergarten follows the Cherokee County Board of Education calendar for school closings, holidays, and closings due to inclement weather.
Hillside UMC Preschool & Kindergarten welcomes children of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to the students at the school.

Tuition is paid at the beginning of each month, August to April.
