Little Lambs MMO
A Mothers' Morning Out Program
The Little Lambs MMO (for children ages three months to young 2-year-olds as of September 1) runs August to May. Program hours are 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and children under age two may attend a maximum of two days per week. The program follows the Cherokee County Board of Education calendar for school closing, holidays, and closings due to inclement weather.
Little Lambs provides a theme-based, child-centered program where the teacher structures the environment allowing the child to explore and learn through self-directed, hands-on activities. We provide developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences that educate the "whole" child spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. This is accomplished through small and large group activities including crafts, music, story time, and learning centers. The curriculum is derived from God's Creation Story and is entitled, "In the Beginning." We also introduce Bible verses, vocabulary words, shapes, colors, numbers, quarterly prayers, and a Fruit of the Spirit each month.
