God’s Desire for Us

    John 10:10—The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

    John 3:16—For God so love the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Our Problem

    Romans 3:23—For all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard.

    Romans 6:23-For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

God’s Solution

    Romans 5:8-But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

    1 Peter 3:18-Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that He might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

Our Response

    Romans 10:9-10-For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
