The Confirmation
Journey
is open to any sixth or seventh grader who
is willing to actively and purposefully explore their
faith. Many leaders in the church will guide the
adventure into the realm of faith. Confirmation is a
rite of passage into the United Methodist Church.
One of the most important things we do in
confirmation is to build relationships-
-
with God,
-
with class members (we’ll break into grade level
groups),
-
with the congregation (you’ll meet with a mentor to
share faith stories) and
-
with your family (you’ll work together on your faith
story project).
Throughout the confirmation journey,
presenters will be challenging Confirmands to examine
what they believe. Confirmation is the time when the
church recognizes that the student - not their mom or
dad—is responsible for their faith.
The Confirmation
Journey takes begins in January of each year and
culminates with a ceremony in May. Click below for
